Why Pay for Our Plans?
Our plans are better because we designed the boats we wanted to have.
We design, build and use our kayaks and small boats. This is important. We use these boats so we know how they work. We build these boats so we know how they go together. And we design these boats so they go together easily and perform well.
There are a lot of cheap or even free boat plans out there that were obviously designed by someone who didn’t really understand what makes a small boat great. We are enthusiastic and commited users of small boats designing for our own use and sharing with you.
Our plans are complete. All parts are drawn out at full size, no measuring is needed. Multiple pages show each individual part so no tracing is required.
Our plans are worthy of the time and effort you are going to put into building your boat. The cost of the plans is trivial compared to the expense of materials and your labor. These plans will make the building process go more quickly and you will waste less material. The finish product will be beautiful and perform better than expected.
Full Sized Boat Plans
Note: We sell digital plans in PDF or DXF format. The plans include full-sized drawings of the parts and forms needed to build the boat, as such they are best printed on a large format printer.
If you do not have access to a large format printer, visit Guillemot-Kayaks.com where we sell full-size hard copy of all these plans printed and ready to use. You may also try printing these by "tiling" using your own printer and taping together the large pages.
If you intend to cut the pieces with a CNC machine, you should be able to get the needed tool paths from the PDF versions, but select plans are available in DXF format.
