Wood Kayak Seat Plans - PDF

The seat is constructed by gluing together pre-cut laminations and grinding away the steps between them, as detailed in the included plans. It is recommended to practice with inexpensive wood before using high-quality materials due to this being a difficult build that may result in some mistakes.

As for mounting the seat in a kayak, Nick has developed various methods such as direct gluing, attaching a backrest using a laminated support, and utilizing a "T" shaped track. These plans solely focus on the seating portion and do not include any mounting or backrest solutions, giving you the freedom to choose your preferred method.
