This 12' x 26"" [3.7m x 6cm] stitch and glue plywood kayak is responsive and stable recreational kayak. Equipped with waterproof hatches and bulkheads it incorporates the safety features of a full sea kayak in a small, easy to handle package. With a 280 lbs [130 kg] capacity it suitable for large adults but is not too big for children. The standard sea kayak sized cockpit can be fitted with a sprayskirt for those venturing into rougher conditions.
This design can be built with flush wooden hatches or the watertight rubber hatches typical of production sea kayak designs. Drawings for either option are included.

Thirteen 24" x 36" [61cm x 91cm] Drawing Pages Plus two 24" x 156" Full Length Patterns including: An overall drawing, patterns for both flush and recessed hatches and cockpit, and forms. The long panels assume you will pre-scarf long pieces of plywood and then trace the full size patterns on to those long blanks. Be sure you have the ability to print these plans before your purchase.
