Derived from Nick's Night Heron designs but with added rocker and reserve buoyancy, the Petrel boasts a unique "transitioning" chine for optimal wave-pushing performance and smooth turning. The sleek deck shape, influenced by Greenlandic Inuit designs, provides ample knee room while keeping the overall deck height low.

This versatile design is perfect for day tripping, touring for several days, on open ocean or large lakes.

• Kayak Building Notes: These notes provide supplemental information such as bill of materials for each design.
