The Great Auk Double is a tandem sea kayak designed for both occasional and skilled paddlers. With a longer waterline, it offers exceptional speed and efficiency for experienced kayakers, while also providing ample capacity for multi-day trips. This modified version of the original Great Auk boasts increased volume at the ends and a higher bow, resulting in a sleek and stable ride. It falls between the performance of the Guillemot Double and the Guillemot Fast Double, offering a balance of speed and stability.
Included in the PDF Plans:
- Eleven 24" x 36" [61cm x 91cm] Drawing Pages including: An overall drawing, a full size "stacked" form drawing showing all the forms and then all the forms drawn individually and at full size. Also included is a full size pattern for the cockpits.
- Kayak Building Notes: These notes provide supplemental information such as bill of materials for each design.
