The Coot is a compact yet spacious yacht tender that utilizes a pram design with transoms at both ends. This design allows for easy construction for first-time wooden boat builders, as the planks simply run straight off the transoms without needing precise fitting.
The "T" shaped plywood bench seat can be adjusted to balance the boat as more weight is added, and also provides added buoyancy for safety. While it is primarily meant for rowing, the Coot can also accommodate a small outboard motor and possibly even a sail rig.
Featuring stability and maneuverability, it is an excellent project for novice boat builders.
INCLUDED IN THE PLANS:
- Twelve 36" x 48" [ 91cm x 122cm] Drawing Pages including: An overall drawing, a full size "stacked" form drawing showing all the forms and then all the forms drawn individually and at full size. Also included are templates for seats, transoms and bulkheads.
